Description
Column Type Surface Grinder for Large Workpieces

The Okamoto ACC iQ Series is a column type surface grinder developed for precision grinding of large and heavy workpieces. Its column configuration provides open access for part loading, setup, and inspection. A double-cylinder system increases load capacity while supporting stable table movement. In addition, the workpiece remains fully supported throughout the table stroke. This configuration gives manufacturers the capacity to handle larger components while maintaining controlled, repeatable grinding performance.

Automatic Surface Grinder with Okamoto iQ Control

The ACC iQ combines CNC operation with Okamoto iQ software to simplify grinding setup and reduce programming time. Operators enter process information, including total stock allowance, finish allowance, and grinding wheel grit size. The control then calculates the appropriate grinding and dressing conditions. As an automatic surface grinder, the ACC iQ also uses visual touchscreen guidance to help operators manage different parts, grinding cycles, and production requirements.

Precision Surface Grinding for Complex Part Requirements

The ACC iQ is a precision surface grinding machine capable of surface, pitch, contour, and form grinding. Its overhead dressing system combines table and overhead dressing methods to support rough and finish operations. Automatic grinding, shift-plunge grinding, and dressing cycles further reduce manual process steps. These capabilities allow manufacturers to use one grinding platform for different part geometries while maintaining control over wheel condition, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
