The Agile Flex MEGA D is a MEGA-capacity CNC loader engineered for large, high-volume manufacturing. Built to handle oversized parts and challenging payloads, it integrates a precision load robotic system capable of managing up to 400 kg per tray. This platform supports heavy-part CNC automation, reducing manual labor while improving part consistency and spindle uptime. Designed for long production runs, it keeps operations running smoothly while maintaining tight tolerances and stable workflow control.
Agile Flex MEGA D Features:
The Agile Flex MEGA D enables heavy-part CNC automation through a durable frame and advanced motion control. It’s designed for shops managing heavy castings, steel billets, or large aerospace components. The system’s intelligent software automates lifting, positioning, and loading cycles with accuracy, helping teams eliminate bottlenecks and focus on quality control. As a result, manufacturers achieve consistent throughput without operator fatigue to reduce downtime across multiple machining centers.
Equipped with a high-capacity load robotic system, the Agile Flex MEGA D improves part flow between operations. For example, the system automatically transfers heavy workpieces between trays, ensuring precision alignment and minimal cycle interruption. In addition, its real-time sensors and adaptive motion control maintain stability during large or unbalanced loads. For manufacturers seeking lights-out capability, this robotic loader operates continuously—boosting productivity without sacrificing safety or reliability.
As a MEGA-capacity CNC loader, the Agile Flex MEGA D incorporates a multi-drawer layout that queues multiple jobs in advance. Each level holds a full batch of workpieces ready for automatic loading. In addition, operators can restock or inspect parts without pausing production to support extended machining cycles and true unattended operation. The modular design scales easily with production demand, offering a reliable solution for expanding automation systems in high-volume machining environments.

The Agile Flex MEGA D is an high-capacity drawer-based robotic loading system for large and heavy parts. It is configured to move raw and completed workpieces between organized storage and the CNC machine while machinists remain available for setup, process control, inspection, and other skilled work. A.W. Miller Technical Sales supplies and supports Agile robotic machine-loading systems throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Southern New Jersey, and Quebec, with application review, cell integration, installation, training, and regional service.
The MEGA D can be configured with a suitable six-axis FANUC robot. Four drawers are standard and eight are available, with each drawer rated up to 880 lbs. Published storage includes parts through 8 inches in diameter, with four-drawer part lengths up to 9.5 inches. Final system capacity must be confirmed with the complete part, gripper, robot reach, storage arrangement, machine interface, safety layout, cycle-time target, and unattended production plan.
Applications commonly evaluated for the Agile Flex MEGA D include:
Each drawer is rated for as much as 880 lbs, allowing the storage system to carry a meaningful queue of heavy blanks. Drawer loading must still maintain balanced weight distribution and clear robot access.
The system is not limited to one fixed robot payload. A six-axis FANUC model can be selected around part mass, reach, gripper weight, machine access, and required cycle time.
Nest plates organize different diameters and can be changed for a new part family. Storage density decreases as diameter or length increases, making real part geometry essential to runtime calculations.
Fence, light-barrier, and floor-scanner options allow the guarding strategy to be engineered around the selected robot and material flow. Heavy-part drop prevention and gripper verification are central to the risk assessment.
Agile Flex MEGA D is intended for large turned billets, heavy valve and pump components, large flanges and hubs, high-mass production blanks. Final capacity depends on the combined part and gripper load, robot moment, pickup geometry, storage layout, machine access, and the required production sequence.
Runtime is calculated from the number of usable storage positions multiplied by the proven machining cycle, then adjusted for tool life, chip management, inspection, consumables, and planned interventions. A larger storage count does not eliminate these process limits.
Often, yes. The review must confirm door operation, chuck or fixture access, machine I/O, robot reach, floor space, safety zones, part blowoff, chip conditions, and whether the CNC can recover cleanly after an interruption.
Agile software uses a CNC-oriented, guided workflow that reduces the need for conventional robot programming. Operators still need training in cell setup, part presentation, gripper changes, safe operation, fault recovery, and production verification.
Provide part drawings and weights, raw and finished conditions, machine model, workholding, cycle time, annual volume, desired unattended hours, available floor space, loading orientation, quality checks, and any required secondary operations.
