Built for stability, the FJV-60’s double-column VMC construction minimizes vibration and thermal distortion for aggressive cutting. Featuring a 10,000 RPM spindle, this Mazak machining center delivers the perfect balance of speed and torque. As a result, it’s capable of cutting materials from aluminum to hardened steels. It also features smooth acceleration and thermal control systems to keep machining consistent over long production runs, and to improve surface finishes, and extend tool life.
The FJV-60 is powered by the Mazatrol SmoothG CNC control, which gives operators an intuitive, touchscreen interface for programming and job management. In addition, it offers conversational programming, 3D simulation, and real-time diagnostics to shorten setup times and keep production running smoothly. As a result, this intelligent control improves part quality, reduces idle time, and allows shops to handle complex programs.
For lights-out manufacturing, the FJV-60 supports automation with pallet changer systems and extended tool magazines. This configuration allows operators to load new parts while the machine is cutting, maximizing spindle utilization and reducing downtime for uninterrupted machining.
